I am all for trimmings. They can really add pizazz or this little “je ne sais quoi” to any upholstered or sewn piece making it go from bland to unforgettable. One of my favorite suppliers is certainly the French company Houlès. They have an extensive collection ranging from super classic, châteaux fitting tie backs, to super modern ribbon adornments.
Their new Riviera Ombrés collection comes in beautiful summery colors as well as in a few neutrals. It is suited for indoor as well as outdoor use, making it a great choice for garden cushion, seaside sofas and lounging chairs, or parasol to name a few. It is formulated specifically to be resistant to water, UV, and even chlorine.
I really have a soft spot for the lime green gros grain ribbon. I think it would look beautiful set against a turquoise fabric. Which color is your favorite and where could you envision it?
Have a nice day!
