Taking a break in Weimar

We’re off on vacations for the next two weeks and first on our way to our friend’s wedding, 200km south of Berlin. We are making a stop-over in beautiful Weimar, a town in former eastern Germany, and a UNESCO world heritage site. Known mainly for it’s classic period and the writers Goethe and Schiller, it is also famous as being the birthplace of the Bauhaus movement.

If you ever get a chance to come to Weimar, do not miss the visit of Goethe’s house who was one of the first color theorist of the 18th century. Every room is painted a different color and the combination is just marvelous. Take a peak:
