Our little baby boy is already seven month old and I can’t believe how much he has grown already. He slept in our room in Brussels since we didn’t have a dedicated one for him. Well now that we have moved to a house and that we have LOTS of space, he does have his own room and I went out looking for inspiration to transform this bland space into one where he’ll love to stay, play and eventually sleep. Yes sleep, because our little happy boy doesn’t spend a night without waking up at least once or twice to get a little refill of mommy’s milk and pretty much ends up sleeping in our bed every night. Well maybe the soon to be ready room will convince him to sleep through and stay in it.
For our super easy-going and always smiling baby, I wanted something light and cheerful with personality while keeping up with the slightly vintage vibe of our new home. He is at an age where he is fascinated by patterns and loves to explore them so I mixed and matched them in a simple color palette consisting of white, light grey, black, and a dash of happy yellow.
I love Ferm Living’s animals wallpaper in green but his room isn’t very big and since I already had a few items on the mood board, I didn’t want to have an overload of colors. If you have children you know very well that their toys tend to bring some colors, wanted or not, to their rooms so in this case a neutral base doesn’t hurt.
