CTO Lighting‘s booth painted in a smoky green was certainly no stranger to my noticing it. The dark wall color highlighted beautifully the brass and bronze fixtures as well as the gold lined shades, and created an inviting and intimate feeling. CTO Lighting is a British company. They design and manufacture in the UK a contemporary range of luxury lighting and also work hand in hand with architects on bespoke commissions. They’ve collaborated with Philippe Starck, Barbara Barry or Kelly Hoppen amongst others on the design of some of their products.
I loved their streamlined and sophisticated lines making their designs timeless and suitable for a wide range of interiors. They don’t shout for attention but rather emanate a tranquil and understated elegance. Satin or polished brass, nickel, bronze and glass are the materials of choice and make a statement. And don’t you love their electrical cords? Either the cabled ones reminiscent of vintage furniture or the simple red ones adding a touch of fantasy. Can you tell I’m smitten? Check out those beauties:
