Color Inspiration – Spring Palette: Soothing shades of Charcoal, Mustard and Salmon

Hello! It’s Holly again from the lifestyle blog Avenue with another dose of inspiration for you while Corinne is on maternity leave. I thought I would bring some color inspiration to the table today because Emerald Green Interiors is all about infusing our lives and homes with inspiring color. Here in the Netherlands, we are just starting to feel as though spring has arrived, and these fresh hues gave me a jolt of energy and inspiration!

I have always been partial to neutral shades, and end up with lots of beige and charcoal in my home. No matter how hard I try, I do tend to sway towards the safer colors.  I’m sure I’m not alone! But how lovely do this sunny shade of yellow and a cheerful salmony shade of pink look against a neutral backdrop?

What do you think of these spring inspired colors? Would love to know what colors you usually steer towards in your own decorating.

Have a wonderful weekend!

  • Thank you Holly for this wonderful color palette. It’s always fascinating to me to see how every single person is drawn to certain colors rather than others.ReplyCancel

  • You are most welcome, Corinne! Hope your readers find inspiration in this combination as I did. HollyReplyCancel

  • Beautiful, Holly. Once you see real examples, those colors works really nice together!
I am just changing about everything in my own home since I didn’t felt comfortable anymore with a certain vintage/provence chic and get much more modern now and so do my colors. But still figuring out 🙂ReplyCancel
