Spring is here and you probably have the same things in mind I do: enjoying the warmer temperatures and nature’s revival and spending more time outside. A perfect place to do this would be the Auberge de Banne in the southern Ardèche region in France. When my parents, whom I saw over the Easter break, showed me the flyer and told me about this boutique hotel located in the charming village of Banne I was quite instantly smitten.
It is as picture perfect as one can imagine, and meets all the clichés one might have about the south of France. Everything is there: the wooden shutters, flowers on the balconies, the chalk boards with daily offerings, the vintage tin signs and the oh so important red metallic garden chairs under the pergola. The interior is decorated in a pared down palette of grey with a few red accents, incorporating lovely patterned cement tiles, industrial inspired lighting, a collection of antique pots or a trendy feature wall with a collection of vintage sunburst mirrors. I can’t imagine a better spot to spend a relaxing weekend away from the city bustle. Enjoy the pictures!
